Licensed and Certified Massage Therapist
Voted “Best Massage Therapist in Austin” in 2011 and 2012 by Austin Monthly
- Voted “Best Massage Therapist” by Austin Fit Magazine in 2011 & 2012
Michelle Hittner’s own diverse athletic background gives her a discernable edge over other massage therapists. An avid cyclist, runner and triathlete who enjoys Crossfit just as much as a fun pub run, she knows that advising a client to “just take time off” to rest is not always an option for elite or high performing athletes. Michelle’s knowledge of body dynamics and mechanics, combined with her first-hand experience in races and boot-camp workouts give her clients the best of both worlds: a therapist who can maximize performance potential, reduce pain, help rehabilitate an injury and provide the relaxing perfection of stress relief. Professional musicians experience repetitive movement strain just as athletes do, and Michelle has been addressing their massage needs regularly backstage at Austin City Limits Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and Lollapalooza. She has an extensive work history in therapeutic massage, sports massage, myofascial release, prenatal massage and pain management. Michelle tailors each session to meet the personal needs of the client, with the ultimate goal of wellness, longevity and rejuvenation.

Michelle’s Rave Reviews
Michelle Hittner rocks. She is a great massage therapist and a great person. If you are an athlete, or a rocker, she’ll do what it takes to make you feel better.

I’ll tell ya what – Michelle Hittner does the BEST massage in Austin! I’ve been going to her for years, and even if I go on vacation and get a massage, it is never as good as hers. She listens and makes the massage exactly what you want. I just went today, and I was so sore from a workout I did, and I already feel a world better and more relaxed. I recommend Michelle 150%!

Amazing! I’ve gotten massages at various places around Austin, but no one compares to Michelle Hittner. My IT bands were so tight after a recent bicycle century ride that it hurt to walk. Michelle knew exactly the right spots to work and I was running pain-free the next day. The entire staff are athletes so they understand your training and your needs. They have a great studio, are incredibly friendly and refuse to accept tips. I highly recommend Michelle and The Austin Bodyworker!
