George is a Texas native for whom health and fitness are second nature. His passion for fitness sparked when he was just 4 years old and would trail his father on hot afternoon runs. He grew up reading his father’s old workout books and eventually found himself informally training his friends in high school and later in the Navy.

As anyone who trains intensely knows, adequate recovery is critical for optimum health and the prevention of pain and injury. In the last year of his military service, George pursued his interest in physical training and recovery by becoming a certified personal trainer and licensed massage therapist in San Diego, California. Impressed by improvements he saw in his clients, he continued his education in Asian bodywork at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and at Mueller College. Since 1999, he has had the privilege of liberating hundreds of people from sports- and occupation-related pain with bodywork, corrective exercise and lifestyle and nutrition counseling.

Not only is George incredibly easy to talk to, he is thrilled to share the wisdom he has gained over the years in his formal training and practical experience. He takes time with each client to make sure he or she thoroughly understands the why and how of his treatment approaches and exercise and lifestyle prescriptions.

With a firm belief that there is no better way to lead than by example, George takes personal interest in nutrition, exercise and lifestyle. For George and his clients, regular bodywork is an integral component of healthy, functional living.

George has participated in endurance running, swimming and cycling; hypertrophy training; and Qi Gong and Tai Chi. His current passion is Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art that encompasses self-defense, acrobatics, music and culture. The perennial student, he is completing a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM) degree at the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine as well as an Applied Clinical Nutrition Certification through Texas Chiropractic College. When he’s not in school or at capoeira, he’s more than likely doing research, riding his bike, pumping iron at the South Austin Boxing Gym or catching a movie.
